Event and wedding service websites

Every enquiry arrives with a date attached. If the site cannot answer availability, the couple asks the next vendor.

Event work is date driven in a way most businesses are not. A couple has fixed on the fourteenth of November, and their first question to every vendor is whether that date is free. A site that cannot answer, or answers in two days, has already lost to the one that replied in an hour.

The second question is proof. Full galleries from real events, not a curated dozen. Clients want to see a whole wedding, a whole reception, a whole corporate evening, because that is how they judge consistency rather than luck.

Budget is the third. Vendors who state a starting range get fewer enquiries and far better ones. Vendors who say price on request spend their week quoting to people who were never in range.

What we build

The modules that matter in events & weddings.

Not every project needs all of these. This is the menu, and the first conversation is usually about which two or three of them would change your week.

  • Availability calendar

Dates already booked shown as unavailable, so enquiries arrive for dates you can actually take.

  • Full event galleries

Complete sets rather than highlights, organised by event type and venue, loaded progressively so they stay fast.

  • Package and pricing bands

Starting ranges with what changes the figure, which filters enquiries before they reach your inbox.

  • Structured enquiry

Date, venue, guest count, budget band and services needed, captured up front so the first reply can be a real answer.

  • Venue and vendor details

Capacity, layout options, parking, catering rules and restrictions for venues; equipment and team size for service vendors.

  • Client planning area

Shared timelines, shot lists, guest counts and payment schedules for confirmed bookings.

What usually goes wrong

The four mistakes we see most often here.

These are not hypothetical. Each one is something we have been called in to fix on a site somebody else built.

  • No availability information, so every enquiry needs a manual check before any real conversation.

  • Galleries of ten hand picked images, which read as a good day rather than a standard.

  • Enquiry forms without a date field, guaranteeing a second round of messages.

  • Video showreels autoplaying on the homepage, adding several megabytes before anything else appears.

Questions

About events & weddings projects.

Should we publish our prices?

Publish a starting range and what moves it. You will get fewer enquiries and spend far less time quoting to people outside your bracket. Vendors who try this rarely go back.

Can the calendar sync with the one we already use?

Yes, with Google Calendar and most standard calendar systems. Blocking a date in your own calendar then marks it unavailable on the site automatically.

How do you keep large galleries fast?

Thumbnails sized for the grid, full images fetched only when opened, modern formats throughout, and lazy loading as the visitor scrolls. A three hundred image gallery then loads as quickly as a small one.
